Has it made any plot progress recently? I dropped it a while back when it didn't seem like there was ever going to be any character development.

I like the aesthetic, and the characters are fun. I don't know how much story you can make from the premise, though. My preferred fantasy story is Isekai Ojisan, and Sousou no Frieren. I think these are pretty perfect in what they set out to do.
