That varies wildly depending on region, and it's still considered a more serious crime (vs. like… minor shit nobody cares about like jaywalking) and since it is illegal, it comes with the additional risk that you might get robbed, blackmailed, etc. Plus it takes more effort and like the anon above me said, you could potentially get a disease as well depending on your luck & precaution.
