I'd rather rise class consciousness in them rather than punish them with slavery forced labour for wanting to be free from wage slavery labour and school brainwashing discipline. You think like a conservative, the conditions for delinquency don't just arise from lack of morals or laziness, they are a symptom of our system. Disobedience to authority is one of the most natural and healthy acts.

One of the most fascinating things about Soviet youth gangs is that even intelligent, academically successful students joined them. So it's more complicated than what you think.

Heck, even woke radlibs recognize this. They recognize that black poverty and crime are the result of systemic racism. Their main error is painting the emancipation of the lumpenproletariat in a very racialized language. In fact most juvenile delinquency is due to lack of purpose. Alot of them cannot find any meaningful work and/or come from dysfunctional adults as parents.

Also yes a lot of gangs have intellectually inclined members amongst them. They're more likely to be the brains of the operation though.

But if you wanna rationalize juvenile delinquency against wage labor, why not against public schooling?

In fact a lot of our gallant trade workers were former delinquents.

You think making delinquents do political activism instead of learning trade skills is ok?
Those delinquents would be gaslit if not bullied and patronized by "straight laced" folk.
