This is not "evolutionary" but rather just socially constructed double standards. Men can get verbally abused all day long (unless he's non-white) while being rude to even a jerkass female paints you as a jerkass yourself. It's a byproduct of patriarchy which forces men to act like gentlemen towards any woman while expecting verbally abused men to just "man up."

Most insults are directed towards men by default.
Men are verbally abused even in comical situations.
Especially if it’s because women feel inconvenienced.
