but their thought process follows the kind of ultra-reactive thinking which Twitter's short-form text format encourages.
Real, coherent, important thoughts were never meant to be communicated with the kind of constraints that Twitter has. It's a site of half-thoughts and attention-grabbing "radical" takes, and algorithms which push people towards empty "divisive" or "edgy" things which appeal to low emotions like repulsion, adoration, and arousal. Discussions had there are massive wastes of time, and so are many of the opinions, so inevitably there would come to be a very loud group who are extremely mad about "wrong" cartoon relationships. It is among the most vapid, meaningless things to get extremely mad about, which is characteristic of sites which encourage vapid, meaningless, empty discussion by their very design.
