The medical and psychological fields often lack mathematical rigor.
Publishing papers into a proprietary journal shouldn't be a thing, science should have an open source community they donate their time into to proof-read/gatekeep papers in (and maybe your reputation should depend on you being part of this community).
And laymen searching for scientific opinions on topics shouldn't result in contradictory answers and results that match pretty much any presupposition you can think of about any topic.
