Putting a disabled adult on the same cognitive level as neurotypical teen is insulting if not incorrect.

Kids aren’t “disabled” by default.
“Brain development” is mainly used for sociological context but often mistaken for direct neurophysiology.

Teen behavior is mainly socially conditioned anyway by parents and teachers.

A mentally disabled adult is socially infantilised like teens are which may make it seem like they’re neurocognitvely replicate of a neurotypical teen but they’re not the same
