Left Objectivism thread

Discuss Leftwing Objectivism

Facts:
- The highest moral duty we have as individuals is to make ourselves happy
- society as a whole will improve if everyone acts this way

- promote values of indifference and apathy, extreme individualism, prioritization of self and personal preference

- individual identity and personal morality are the objective for happiness
- collectivism and state-sponsored morality is tied to spiritual and societal destruction

>Leftwing Objectivism
""Objectivism"" is effectively just an attempt to squeeze stoicism and existential philosophy into a specifically right-wing capitalist class propaganda model. Rand is basically worthless, the ""left-wing"" version would just derive from superior thinkers like Sartre or Stirner, or even better (than Rand) right-wing philosophers like Nietzsche who held similar class biases but at least were better thinkers than Rand.

Is this even a philosophy? Those just sound like quaint aspirations.

Honestly, the wording makes it sound good but the praxis made it bad

Honestly, I’m starting to think that individualism is misunderstood if not confused for automatic greed.

Capitalism, contrary to popular belief, isn’t individualistic.
It’s collectivist but profit-oriented.

If capitalism was individualistic, proles would be free to choose what ever payment plan they want without needing to do technicality loop holes.
