i tried playing that crap recently. it was the only one i skipped between 1 and 9 and now i'm glad i did. aside from the fact the game is horribly broken and dead easy, the story is awful. quistis was the only likable character in the party and yet the game forces you to pursue the cutesy ditzy rich girl instead. at least 7 killed the cutesy girl at about the time you start to realize that tifa is better, and the best character, cait sith, even dances happily in response to her death. 8 was so bad i started playing 9 again just so i could like the series again. i'll probably play 4 again at some point because i want to fug adult rydia enough to get hard over pixels. rydia is so hot when she grows up, why couldn't square maintain that level of character design? the only time i connected with anyone in 8 was when squall would say "…whatever" because that's exactly how i felt about the shit story i was watching.
