Dr. Stone's premise is quite intresting but I feel it don't really uses it's premise to it's fullest. I mean Tsukasa's plan to destroy all of the adults and to try to "Stop Science from existing" is doomed to fail, not to mention his conclusions are entirely based on the notions of "Human Nature" and "Adults being greedy".

Is there any way to make the anime or even it's premise better?

I think you kind of nailed the problem in your post. The show goes to great lengths to break down the engineering and science behind things, but totally fails at exploring themes related to sociology and the impact of technology on economic development. It takes a very boring and simplistic route for the villain.

At least that is how I felt watching the anime. The manga may go further with some of this stuff.

Do they show stones in dr. Stones?

The manga just brings back currency and production for exchange on a whim at one point, basing the idea that any characters would have any interest in the new currency on neoclassical myths.

Senku is basically a neoclassical simpelton. Doesn't care about the impacts of his tech, just creates more and more tech, gives not consideration to the misguided grievances expressed by tsukasa, brings back private property and money without any good reason whatsoever. Gives away all the oil on paper to s douche because the douche can sail well and "there's nothing we can do" despite there being no institutions to protect his private property and you know, they could just starve him until he gives in.

The artstyle in the manga is pretty good but the writer is a brainlet when it comes to sociology.

Well, at least there is a character which is explicitly communist. You can't really say this about a lot of anime (or any at all as far as I know), even if that communist is an especially retarded primmie.

I take it you mean Tsukasa? I always thought of him as more of a primitivist/Ted Kaczynski type than a communist.

Well, that's technically communist…

It started off strong but I feel like the thrill of reclaiming civilization from collapse eventually disappeared when they started making too many material advances too quickly.

This series makes me want to construct some homemade batteries and stuff.

No it isn't cultist.

I'm talking about communist in the literal sense. Someone who wants a society without private property.

Boomersidal primitivism is just idealism.

This show would've been better if the advancements were slower because they go from being monkey tier tech wise to having phones in 24 episodes. I liked it anyway though.

I expect them to construct a laser for something any day now.
