>>1757As someone who used Curtis as a stepping stone to their radicalization and then realized in hindsight he is not that profound, I'd say looking back it was The Trap: What Happened to Our Dream of Freedom that was the most important documentary for me. While All Watched Over is ok, Hypernorm is a bit overrated, as it is more of a stiching of all his previous works + cultural analysis of the '16. Meanwhile Trap covers extensivelly the workings of modern burgoise ideology, its effect on the populace, and also taught and radicalized me to accepting possitive liberty. Aside from this doc, Bitter Lake and The Power of Nightmares are likely the best, as these cover historical events and the actors on different sides of them (specifically Afghanistan and the neocon actions globally).
