I want to start making infographics for my college to use them as a way to spread Marxism and leftist theory

- Does anyone here studies Graphic Design or something Art-related?
- Which principles or rules should I follow when making these contents?
- Can you provide some links with examples of leftist media and design?, I'm aware of some artistic currents and their names (Like Soviet Constructivism), but I would like to know &lthow> to "use" them

As someone with a solid education in art/design, the most important thing I can think of is readability.
That is, making the words and main image you use readable from a distance by making them big enough.

Other than that, you should really just stick to traditional painter's principles of visual design since that is what I find the most effective even just with 3-color posters.

If you want to learn more, look up the work of James Gurney and especially his book 'Color and Light - A Guide for the Realist Painter'.
To start you off, look up his own 'Windmill Principle' (https://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/2008/04/windmill-principle.html), which helps a ton with understanding how to make text and images contrast against one another effectively.

The board's software wasn't smart enough to figure out where the link ends. Try this:

0. Start with your copy text
1. Start with a grid to lay out you elements. Search typographic grid
2. Learn how to use font, font size, and color to impose structure on the document. Never use more than three different text styles.
3. Add 1-3 graphic elements to catch the eye or illustrate a point.
3. Don't use similar colors, choose a main color and a contrast color.

Graphic Designer here: First rule of an infographic, don't go for different fonts or fancy shit like Papyrus, son't use a bunch of different colors for different sentences and makes sure things are legible and compact yet still have room to breathe, packed, disorganized information is an instant way to see if something was made by a newbie

Don't ask why, but my toaster can only handle MSpaint.

I'm trying to use these preexisting designs to make three logos/stencils[?] that represent said animals below.

The colour pallet would need to be swapped with Red and black, while possibly keeping the yellow and white. Blue might be possible, but I don't know if I can screen print that many fucking colours on my budget :\

Any suggestions, or if some more skilled/pro anon wants to mess around with them please feel free because I've got no experience or talent in this department…

Yep basically two to three fonts max - most of your info text should be all the same simple legible font. Header text or flavor text can be a different font but generally you want a similar style- a lot of design websites also will feature font "combinations" that work well together. There are lots of excellent stylish free fonts on graphic design websites- but don't go wild.

Generally you want infographics to be as legible as possible - occasionally a controlled amount of illegibility can be used to keep the viewer engaged longer but that's advanced stuff and mostly for ads.

One key concept is to think about what your goal and target audience is and how that affects the design.

Is this supposed to go viral on instagram/twitter/etc? Then use only the most critical, actionable information and keep it to about 5 sentences or bullets per image with the first image containing the most interesting content to draw the viewer in. If it's supposed to be a printed pamphlet then you may design in all black and white to save on printing and can use smaller text in longer sections (use line breaks every few sentences to make it more digestible) within the document itself. If it's a poster/call to action you may want just the critical info Event name, date/time, instructions and use a link or phone number so that viewers can get more information if the need it.
