Have you seen Arcane? Pretty dece

I recommend Kevin Smith and Edgar Wright's movies, those are fun. Just watch every live-action movie they've made plus The Clerks cartoon, it's a lot. And when it comes to anime, the list is endless. Parasyte, JoJo, and One Piece Pace are my personal favorites. I also like some video game movies like Sonic, Mortal Kombat, Mario and Wreck-It Ralph. I also recommend watching The Matrix and The Matrix Revolutions Decoded.

Only The Matrix, Revolutions Decoded and Animatrix specifically, you can skip everything else. The unedited OG sequels drag for too long and Resurrections is very half-assed.

In that case check out Blood Dragon, Nier Automata and the Metal Gear and Deus Ex games. And when it comes to animation, Motorcity, TRON: Uprising, Texnolyze, Ergo Proxy and Ghost in the Shell should be right up your alley. There used to be a multiplayer shooter based on GitS but the publisher axed it. 😢

Since Tron was mentioned, I liked Tron Ares very much. Got emotional, this story of an AI that wants to become human and find out what life is really got me.

If you like shows like Twin Peaks and Lost, you will likely enjoy the 1969 series The Prisoner.  It is about a Cold War Era British secret agent who attempts to resign from the service but is then kidnapped and left in an idyllic seaside village where the inhabitants attempt to break his mind and resolve to make him tell them why he resigned.  While I was watching I could not help concocting theories about who the malicious villagers really were and why the unnamed protagonist (called "Number Six" by the villagers) left the service.  It is a sneaky good program, and it frequently misleads and surprises viewers.  The protagonist is an angry person, but, boy, does he have every reason to be, as he is constantly teated like the test subject of some oddly sadistic mad scientist.  Just don't expect a clean resolution at the end; it gets abstract.  Still good, though, and it really had to end the way that it did.
