I actually think PC gaming has improved a bit in the past ten years or so. After the indie hack scene matured a bit from the garbage it peddled in the '10s, after the most cancerous graphics whores like John Carmack and the Crytek people faded from relevance, and of course as cryptotards and AIscammers bid up the price of basic computer hardware, we're finally getting some decent games by smalltime developers that are concerned with solid game design over pretentious graphics power-rig pandering and nickel and diming. I don't pay any attention to what's going on in the Windows/Steam DRMsphere, but I've been appreciating that there's a lot more DRM-free games with Linux ports these days.

>>12413If what they showed in the GTA VI trailers is indeed running on PS5 hardware, I'd say that's very impressive. You're basically getting cut-scene quality graphics on a 6 year old machine.

>I can't even stand Gabe Newell anymoreThey literally invented micro-transactions and lootboxes. And steam is just DRM. They've always been evil, they just do it with as little friction as possible.
Also their new steam machine is weak as shit for 1500$ wtf.
