PC gaming sucks now. It's all Denuvo cancer, buggy ports, shitty optimization and overpriced hardware. The corpos show no respect or care towards PC gamers and everyone just goes along with it. Don't get me wrong, I love PC gaming, it has clear advantages. But over the years it's harder and harder for me to recommend it over just buying a console.

Fuck NVidia and Denuvo for making PC gaming worse and fuck Valve for allowing this shit to happen. I can't even stand Gabe Newell anymore, it's all his fault. Allowing Denuvo to poison games, caving in to Nintendo and payment processes' censorship demands. This whole monopoly on PC gaming led to predictable results.

I can't play newer games because I only have an 8GB RAM laptop and a 12GB RAM PC with no graphics card
Really want to finish Planescape Torment though

>12GB
I could barely afford 8GB of RAM and that was already enough for comfortable AAA gaming. Now even that isn't enough. Despite the fact that a 2015 game still looks better than 90% of what AAA studios put out nowadays.

I actually think PC gaming has improved a bit in the past ten years or so. After the indie hack scene matured a bit from the garbage it peddled in the '10s, after the most cancerous graphics whores like John Carmack and the Crytek people faded from relevance, and of course as cryptotards and AIscammers bid up the price of basic computer hardware, we're finally getting some decent games by smalltime developers that are concerned with solid game design over pretentious graphics power-rig pandering and nickel and diming. I don't pay any attention to what's going on in the Windows/Steam DRMsphere, but I've been appreciating that there's a lot more DRM-free games with Linux ports these days.

If what they showed in the GTA VI trailers is indeed running on PS5 hardware, I'd say that's very impressive. You're basically getting cut-scene quality graphics on a 6 year old machine.

Dawg as much as I like Valve's games
>I can't even stand Gabe Newell anymore
They literally invented micro-transactions and lootboxes. And steam is just DRM. They've always been evil, they just do it with as little friction as possible.

Also their new steam machine is weak as shit for 1500$ wtf.
