the fact that many kids living in nuclear families are increasingly being raised by Ipad is a sign that the nuclear family as an institution has become irrelevant. Even from the start the nuclear family idealized the view of dads as someone who spent 99% of his time at job instead of being with his family and moms as stay at home serfs which is not only sexist but also retardedly dystopic.

However, i do not vibe with most marriage abolitionists because most of them criticized it from a liberal, promethean individualist perspective. They want to abolish marriage because they want to replace it with a libertarian world where free individuals hook up with everyone but never truly attach themselves to anyone that they don't envision through their Will. I actively abhorr that vision. I want a more communitarian, more communal relationships that carried real stakes like the clans of old.
