So I was thinking of whether or not I am the one who's crazy. You know that feeling: you feel like the entire world is against you. And it felt like yesterday when I just enjoyed vidya games and anime without caring about all this culture war gibberish. But I'm thinking: racism, sexism and homophobia were also normal in the recent past. Does that necessarily make those positions perfectly sane and rational? After all, the status quo has changed and now these positions are considered insane and irrational. Moreover, there wouldn't be any change if abolitionists and gay rights activists viewed their positions as insane and irrational. So in a way contrarianism is inevitable under a class society since its contradictions are never resolved so I guess we have to accept that resistance to our ideas as a natural part of life and that we shouldn't take the widespread ideas for granted, no matter how much it makes us politically isolated.

What do you think?
