On Anki's database there's a card pack of north korean vocabulary, which is slightly different from the one in south korea.
Korean is still the most awful language I've had the misfortune of studying

Learn a more useful language instead, my recommendation would be Spanish (should be pretty easy even for burgers), Mandarin (hard but also extremely interesting and useful), Arabic (also hard, maybe even more so than Mandarin) or Hindi. The latter because if there will be some sort of large-scale revolution in the next few years, it is probably going to happen in India. Even though there are hundreds of languages in India, if you speak Hindi and English you will be able to communicate with most Indians.

Where is the proof. The "collective familial punishment" meme is constantly thrown around with no evidence. In fact there are several counterexamples such as family members of defectors who walk freely and aren't punished.
And by the way they have much lower child malnutrition rate than other third world countries, and this is despite imperialist sanctions and blockades.

Why? It's pretty easy when it comes to grammar and learning alphabet. Remembering vocabulary might be a bit of a problem but it's easy to overcome it when you start to use it.
