/leftypol/ - Leftist Politically Incorrect

This is mostly a carry-over from us being the same website at one point. When leftypol.org was launched and we moved away from bunkerchan that link was added to the front page. I guess there were people who thought it was good reading material. When .org and .net split they kept the same code and config and changes are made very slowly, so it's still there.

I think it's a decent marxist blog but I haven't checked it out in a while…

I think that Roberts and Cockshott have similar views on marxist theory and that's how he got introduced on 8chan leftypol. Cockshott has more based politics though.

Roberts had a very empirical and technical article on why Russia wasn't in the imperialist stage of capitalism. Which also had decent educational value. And when the Ukraine happening came along he took it down because of peer pressure.

But it is the truth and I'm tired, that people are denying it. Yes, Reddit is a glowing honeypot. But leftychan/leftyogre is also a glowing honeypot. Why is it so difficult, to accept this fact? Even the average 4channer is aware, that 4chan is a glowing honeypot. No sane person is questioning this.

I found this script written in Ruby to download all the data for a website:

https://github.com/hartator/wayback-machine-downloader?tab=readme-ov-file#all-timestamps

Once you have the data it should be easy to search the text using a command-line tool like grep (which is basically like doing Ctrl+f but for all the files).

That's not going to be a semantic search though, you might have to do a bit of scripting to get that, but start by downloading it.

I was just browsing around for ways to search for stuff without scripting and found this project:

Haven't tried it but it looks like a powerful setup to search for stuff, it's pretty cool to think that you can potentially download full archives of sites and search them.
