Gegenstandpunkt is a German Marxist journal founded in Münich 1992. They primarily focus on Marx's theories and the analysis of current events from a Marxist perspective. They reject parliamentarianism. Their most well known member is Karl Held, who died in 2010.

As far as I know, they are against Leninism and any other Marxist thought that comes from it. They have been identified as a "left-wing extremist group" by the German governments Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, they also say that "Due to their elitist understanding of Marxism, the group is largely isolated in the left-wing extremist scene." (at least according to the German wikipedia article) which I find humorous.

I downloaded two of their English translated books called "The Democratic State Critique of Bourgeois Sovereignty" and "Work and Wealth", and I'm planing on reading them after I've read more Marx's own work, like Capital Volume 1, and the work of other Marxists, namely those from my country of origin and of Left-Communist (Italian Left-Communist, Councilist, Communizers etc.) writers who I'm interested in.

Do they publish in English? Do they have some kind of novel idea or theory to make me care about them?

they are oftentimes lumped in together with other strands of "Left communism" but they really are not because they reject pretty much anything that's associated with "Orthodox" "Marxism" (as many call it). So things such as Dialectics and His Mat which most left coms actually consider near and dear to their movement.

They are, pretty much the most ruthless critics you could think of. They only care about what's objectively true and disregard all ideology, sometimes they go as far as disagreeing with Marx himself. You'll understand once you'll read their article on the German Ideology (german only unfortunately) and the one on the Manifesto (this one's got an English translation fortunately)

I personally rather liked their article on the fall of the USSR ("Kommunismus tot?" /"Is communism really dead?"). There's also a lot of archives of their other articles or speeches given at ruthlesscriticism.com.I suggest you give that site a look too since all the articles there are in English

By glancing at a couple of articles I've came to the feeling that it's all just another bunch of shitty pretentious libtards looking at things thru libtard worldview and libtardly trying to outlib the libs in libsplaining their own flavor of libbery in which they shall inevitably repeat the Yugo Praxists' praxis of the degenerate Cuckutsky – starting with marx, ending with hitler.
