If you want to know what has failed the workers of Ireland, the UK, and Europe, the answer is electoralism. Electoralism failed. The IRA did nothing wrong, they accomplished way more to damage the British occupation than electoralism has, and they wouldn't have tolerated some imperialist power dictating what foreign stuff Ireland has to buy.
