French investigative outlet Mediapart has implicated French companies Nexira and Alland & Robert in the financing of the war in Sudan.

The companies are the gatekeepers of Gum Arabic, a resin found in many products (Coca-Cola, Pepsi, L’Oréal cosmetics, Nestlé snacks, etc).

Sudan produces 80% of the world's gum Arabic, the vast majority of which is located in Darfur and Kordofan. These regions are currently occupied by UAE backed RSF militia.
