I say this as someone who actually
likes the contrived syncretic culture of the US and thinks Jesus was pretty cool in terms of the philosophy attributed to him, but I think it's a tragedy how aggressively Abrahamic religious spread and American assimilationism have erased historical culture and traditions. No one has it worse in this sense than black descendants of slaves, who have had to meticulously retrace the Atlantic slave trade to figure out roughly where the fuck on the African continent their ancestors were even abducted from, even many
