Praxis and theory set aside, is there any literature dealing with what exact material conditions are required to start a revolution?
I'm learning and I am really interested in what exact conditions could predict the chances of a revolution happening, and what would predict the chances of it not happening and being hindered.
Are there theorists better at this and theorists worse at this? Thank you!

I've heard it asserted before that the Gini coefficient measuring inequality is a good predictor of revolution. But I have to say I'm pretty skeptical of attempts to calculate this parameter in past economies without the kind of data we have in the modern era.
