Do I not know where the left discusses stuff online or is there just a lack of such spaces?

I'm going to post the ones I know about that are primarily English, even if they're full of liberals just to keep track of this. Please help me with any that I've missed.

The ones owned and operated by the community:

Imageboards
Leftychan.net - you are here
Leftypol.org
nukechan.net

Lemmy instances
Lemmygrad.ml
Hexbear.net

There's also apparantly libcom.org/recent/discussions but I found that link on an /r/socialism post so that's not promising.

Killed - list of defunct or abandoned forums
r/genzedong - quarantined, limited activity
r/thedeprogram - banned
r/showinfrared - no posts for 5 months, link to fbi.gov broken

Well there's obviously tiktok and youtube with leftist creators and I guess twitch but those are not really forums - they're terrible for longer format posts.

If there are no serious public spaces then maybe there are private ones? Or does the left just not really exist?

Maybe there's a huge community on twitter? Does twitter count as a forum though? Should I check it out?

RevLeft is the first one that comes to mind. It died in 2018.

GETChan still exists.

Oh. Dang, I was hoping there was some larger mainstream space somewhere. I suppose /r/latestagecapitalism at 830k subs is as good as it's going to get.

Oh I just had an idea, are there any forums where working class people shoot the shit? Maybe we can raid them just for fun and banter about communism with them. More of an >>>/i/ topic but you get the picture.

Most small hobby/interest forums are more-or-less that.

That leads me back to reddit or chans. Fudge.

NO. No, no.
I'm talking about small forums, not imageboards and absolutely not reddit. Like if you want a larger example of the kind of thing I'm talking about, SomethingAwful. Like that kind of format, but smaller. There are lots of those still around, some for local scenes, music, art, books, cars, etc.
