do agree to kneel supplicate, divide, and distract parts of their population in much the same ways that the U.S. supplicates, divides, and distracts its own workers - through a combination of treats, vapid spectacle, mass surveillance, tyrannical clampdowns, petty idpol, state manipulation of religious institutions and aesthetics, and the creation and perpetuation of a large underclass without equal rights to do hard labor. The good collaborators can help package this all as "authentic" and deck it in religious garb, but at the end of the day they do so not out of any unique Arab-ness, but rather for the same reason that American churches now preach that to be rich and to be a zionist are the very meanings of divinity.
