>All so-called indigenous peoples were originally settlers
No they weren't.
You're confusing human migration with settlement. "Settling" in this context is a term for colonization, used as a shorthand for "settler-colonist" which is a specific thing. There's no evidence that the American Indians or Australian Aborigines were ever settler-colonists. With regards to the Palestinians, they're descended largely from inhabitants of the Levant who converted to Christianity and Islam, and learned Arabic when the region was under Arab rule.
>and there is no special snapshot in history where it is 'right' to return to
That's not what the right of return means.
>reactionary nationalist 'landback' crap
Yeah, we should give that land to land speculators and oil & gas barons like we've been doing.
>but not because the Arab Palestinian nationals somehow have a right to the place either
They absolutely do. People have a right not to have their homes stolen by Nazi colonial projects. There's nothing ""spooked"" about national autonomy or the rights of people to their own homes, it isn't the problem; colonial genocide and expansion is the problem.
>No nationality has a special right to any territory.
"Not getting their homes stolen" is not a "special right."
