What countries will unite, which ones will disintegrate?
Will the EU fully federalize?
The nation-state is a dying model.
We live in a world of armed tribes, non-state anarchic regions, terrorist groups that claim to be governments, self governing slums, illegal software piracy, hacker collectives, and other wonderful things. New paths are opening up to us. The old world is struggling against the new. I say let the nation form die. Its resisting its death violently, but I hope it dies. The world was much more interesting without it.
