I didn't believe he was good (ran as DNC after all), but wanted to give him a chance anyway on some level.  In the past, there were times when I wasn't paying close enough attention, when I might not have recognized the pattern which has repeated in a case like this, but it's very clear to me now.

Which is funny because there was always a Jewish population remaining there even after the majority converted to Islam and Christianity. The whole exile narrative was nonsense, even before getting into why it's nonsense according to scripture. Jews lived there, they just spoke Arabic (as opposed to Yiddish, German, Polish, English, Russian, Spanish, French, constructed Modern Hebrew, etc.) and didn't dress in the fashions of European nobility.

The verses talk about when "all Israel will be saved". In their eschatology it is God who brings them back in full. Of course there was always a remnant left after every exile, but the point is they were supposed to wait for God to bring them back. Now they say it was promised thousands of years ago, but that was a conditional promise that was broken first when the northern kingdom split from Judah. Then came the several exiles for disobedience. It's their book and they don't even know it.
