c. 2014 i'd bet on Salmond reasonably comfortably. Nowadays I'm not so sure, Salmond seems quite frail since the whole "being abandoned or betrayed by practically all of his colleagues of the last 40 or so years of his life" thing (at the very least he's lost weight) while Galloway doesn't seem to have changed much since 2014.

If you google “Alex salmond excercise” it comes up with an article about how he plays golf, which would give him somewhat improved lats, a good twisting hip motion for punching, and the physical fitness of walking.

If you google “George Galloway excercise” it comes up with nothing.

Galloway does indeed have big cat energy so that’s one point in his favour. A balanced game so far.

Alex is also eh… handsy though… kek

Sturgeon gets Scottish scheme points, but Patel is an Israeli agent so knows Krav Maga. Also sturgeon would try and play fair by Patel would be wearing sharpened heels or some shit. Although Patel is a bully and therefore a coward so if sturgeon landed a blow Patel would foriet the fight.

Patel is 5.3 and so is Sturgeon.

This has kinda got me thinking, I wonder if every country on earth has a drug trade that has two major sides, a CIA side and another side, probably in a country like the UK its almost entirely CIA because we have no revolutionary movement, but in Ireland it will be half Mi5 (unionists) and half anti (IRA). Of course, the majority is in the hands of the CIA, but small pockets of it are in control of revolutionary groups

it's more that when he was politically active he delivered free tuition, free prescriptions, an independence white paper that proposed a very slightly better country, and an independence referendum all in the space of a few years.
sturgeon's achievements over the last few years by contrast: creating the most politically active TERFs in the country by dithering on the GRA, starting and then ditching the named person scheme, a growth commission report that makes George Osborne look like a social democrat, and some opinion polls that say people would vote "Yes" by tiny margins because the UK has just spent the last 4 years collapsing in on itself.

salmond could be the worst person in the world and he'd still be worth supporting against a bad government if he had a shot of making their lives harder.

>London: you can’t leave, you won’t be able to survive being independent
>Yes Scots: We can’t leave, we will not be able to survive being independent
The only reason why Scotland is considering reversing the cuckoldry is because Brexit isn’t what Scotland wants. Salmond is just getting back on the horse now because of that, but knew the writing was on the wall that losing the referendum was the end of the independence movement for this generation at least.

i would say the yes movement actually peaked after the end of the referendum, retaining considerable momentum until the EU referendum came along and then increasingly drifting from the SNP after that.
instead of fostering a healthy relationship between activists and the SNP which could be used to help make a long-term case for independence, sturgeon basically treated them as nothing but a vote bank while stripping away more and more internal democracy from the SNP itself (turning conferences from an area where policy can be discussed to blairite PR exercises), making a mockery of the tens of thousands who joined the party post-independence. realistic prospects for independence have increasingly been sidelined by labour style "one more heave!" campaigning. the post-2016 SNP has promised referendums it knew weren't going to happen more often than Labour has promised to abolish the house of lords!

meanwhile the SNP government itself has failed to excite: you can't say "oh, independence was rejected so we can't do anything interesting with devolution". salmond couldn't get a referendum from 2007-11 and he still lead a perfectly respectable government. even if independence has been kicked into the long grass there's no excuse for the party itself to be in government but without purpose. the stated purpose of being judged on education has failed, education has gotten worse. if social liberalism is her real focus, there's no impressive record there either: why on earth has it taken a full parliament to not pass the GRA reforms?

then there's the utterly neoliberal growth commission report, the increasingly militaristic defence policy, the increasingly petty internal factional games, the refusal to look at the case for independence as it now stands (the 2014 white paper is dead), etc, etc. all of which a better leader could have avoided, all of which a bad leader should be forced out over.

Zootopia (Zootropolis to those who pretend they didn't torrent it) is an incredibly overrated film. Weak on its own merits, it hangs around in certain places purely because it gives furries a base on which to build porn. In the sort of platonic ideal world where you can take the animals out of a film about animal racism and replace them with a non-animal "equal quality" substitute, nobody would remember it as anything more than another Disney dud.

>West London student found dead in Epping Forest after disappearing walking home
This sounds exactly like the Sarah Everman case. Here's my conspiracy theory: there is a gang of met police going around murdering people from London and dumping their bodies in the home counties. Why? First of all in both cases the police were slow to respond to calls from the families to the missing persons. Then the series of events are similar: someone reported missing, police slow to react, then big media campaign, then they're found dead in a rural locale outside of the city they were taken from. They also both disappeared in similar circumstances: walking to meet someone, disappeared right off the street. Now sure this can just be coincidence, most people aren't abducted and murdered from their house, but here's one other thing that gets my Epstein sense tingling. The pig-murderer of Everman was, while in detention, having to receive at-least twice treatment for head injuries. Now either he tried to kill himself by banging his head against a wall, or he was beaten up by police. Now he could be beaten up in the classic cop way of "you fucker you made us look bad", or he could have been the target of silencing beatings. I dunno maybe i am off my nut but I feel like there's something here.

starmer's vote for and sturgeon's vote against had exactly the same effect: sweet fucking nothing. a majority government with no significant rebellion and two chancers posturing from a comfortable position of impotence. (i would check if the SNP made the effort to whip everyone to turn up - which labour clearly didn't do, even on their own amendments - but theyworkforyou is a surprisingly shit website.)
perhaps ms. sturgeon should bring out the niceties for margaret thatcher next? after all she was a #girlboss too. and why be imbalanced about it, why not invite mr. blackford to deliver a glowing eulogy for mr. blair? (to say nothing of the question of "in what way is voting against the crime and policing bill not compatible with clintonite liberalism?", are we naively forgetting when the Conservatives defeated Blair's push for 90 day detention?)

no amount of hiding behind parliamentary posturing or the worthlessness of the labour party can escape the SNP's militaristic defense policy, a parliamentary party gagging to have meetings with MI5 agents, and the westminster leader of the party whinging that the government isn't doing enough to topple assad.

a mixture of the number of stories of her being privately awkward and weird and a vested interest in making her more sympathetic for the purposes of attacking Starmer while 2017 nostalgiaposting.
here's a story from her chief of staff, who has just lost his seat thanks to the 2017 election and been asked to be her chief of staff:
>You can imagine, knowing Theresa, that was not an easy conversation to have initially. But I was very upfront about it. I said, 'I can’t do the job unless I understand you. I know you hate having these kinds of conversations, so I’ve come up with a game to make it a bit easier. I’m going to tell you three things about Theresa May, three things you’ve done that I love and made me really proud as a Conservative MP, and three things you’ve said that I disagree with and don’t like. We’ll use that as a way of getting the conversation going.'
it's just great, the prime minister of the country being so opaque that even her own chief of staff is reduced to desperately flipping through middle management seminars to try to figure out a way to get her to talk. or look to the countdown to the brexit extension where the point was well made: literally nobody, except perhaps her husband, knew which way she might jump because literally nobody knows her.

plus it adds a nice solidaristic dimension to the letting Gary McKinnon go thing.

Taking bets now as to whether the CPGB-ML read all the Craig Murray blogs about Salmond just to try and figure out what sort of rugs were in the buildings he was accused of doing crimes in.
the article itself has quite a weird structure. it's like 80% "salmond was fitted up, very suspicious, hmm, craig murray says…" before concluding "Salmond’s real crime: the incitement of reactionary separatism amongst the British working class… Frankly, it is his obsession with dividing the British working class against itself via his poisonous nationalist ideology that he needs to be ostracised."

also is it weird for the CPGB-ML to quote the from the WSWS in neutral terms? that seems weird given they're trots but i must confess i have not been keeping up to date with either.

"in an independent scotland we'd cut corporation tax because as a small country the lower % would be made up for by a higher number of companies based here" may be a dubious policy, but it's not a move towards austerity, nor does it have any relevance to the budget of the devolved parliament. if anything the experience surely demonstrated the difficulties of taking a shortcut to a position of power without the institutional power to back it up.

corbyn's leadership of labour was as though the SDLP suddenly found their leader as prime minister of an alternate timeline UK where premiers are directly elected. absolutely, they held the position, but fundamentally they found themselves dependent on a parliamentary structure which was almost entirely hostile, which would have to be bypassed in order to get anything done and which would be constantly doing its best to undermine them. the best that could be achieved in such circumstances is to rig up the necessary requirements for a longer-form takeover of institutions while holding the leadership. that didn't happen.
(in a snappy line: corbyn's big failure was to go for election wins rather than deselections, although always running against the risk that deselections could trigger a split that would destroy the labour party entirely.)

With the beginning of the Second World War in 1939, the CPGB initially continued to support the struggle on two fronts (against Chamberlain at home and Nazi fascism abroad). Following the Molotov–Ribbentrop nonaggression pact on August 23 between the Soviet Union and Germany, the Comintern immediately changed its position. The British party immediately fell in line, campaigning for peace, and describing the war as the product of imperialism on both sides, and in which the working class had no side to take.[19] This was opposed within the CPGB by Harry Pollitt and J. R. Campbell, the editor of the Daily Worker, and both were relieved of their duties in October 1939.[20] Pollitt was replaced by Palme Dutt. From 1939 until 1941 the CPGB was very active in supporting strikes and in denouncing the government for its pursuit of the war.

However, when in 1941 the Soviet Union was invaded by Germany, the CPGB reversed its stance immediately and came out in support of the war on the grounds that it had now become a war between fascism and the Soviet Union. Pollitt was restored to his old position as Party Secretary. In fact, the Communists' support for the war was so vociferous that they launched a campaign for a Second Front in order to support the USSR and speed the defeat of the Axis. In industry, they now opposed strike action and supported the Joint Production Committees,[21] which aimed to increase productivity, and supported the National Government that was led by Winston Churchill (Conservative) and Clement Attlee (Labour).

The snp also weren’t opposed to the war or even conscription, just conscription by the British state. What date was the Easter rising again? Remind me please. At this point in history, Britain was still by far and away the absolute worst entity on earth, given that the worst ravages of WW2 were yet to come and even then, the Holocaust is still not as bad as the British Empire, despite our collective Brit education historical revisionism that drilled our exceptionalism into our heads. I will remind you the British empire created the state of Israel directly after the war, which continues to do genocide until this day. By the way, the Nazis and zionists were also collaborative as well as this the British royals were huge Nazi sympathisers. But I guess things are completely black and white to a simpleton as always

And also forget the Easter rising give me the dates of the events known collectively as “red clydside” where Lord Mountbatten, noted pedophile royal, who was later involved in an abortive fascist coup of the British state, was the head of a force of troops which was sent to Scotland to put down a socialist uprising, quite possibly the closest the U.K. has ever had to a Marxist inspired socialist revolution. Wonder why Scottish leftists wouldn’t want to join in.

If you get a salary you are working class by the Marxist definition.

Do you live rural like in a village or rural like out in an isolated home with nothing around it but fields and forests?

Honestly if it’s the former and it’s just a village of retired pensioners you need to move it a city or larger town. If it’s not, you need to find out about class issues in your area, probably by locating local groups or interested peoples. This would be your first step.

If it’s the latter, prob gonna be moving to a city.

You may be a PMC but do you rent? Do a lot of people in your area rent? Is there a lot of homeless where you live?

We need details lad. As many details about yourself, your local area etc as you can give without doxxing yourself. Then we can assess.

Being a tarquin will make it more difficult to enter salt of the earth working class spaces and be listened to but actually, working class people are generally not automatically full of hate for people slightly richer than them, and if you have something useful to say and don’t act like a stuck up Tarquinius nonce the worst you’ll get is a bit of banter.

Tbh mood, I am much the same in background (my grandparents aren't porkies, they were teachers but still). It's hard honestly, because most of the time there's no rooted place to start: most people are employed by the petit-bourgeois or in big supermarkets that are antiseptic to organising. I'd suggest maybe contacting your local USDAW branch, chances are you are 45 minutes driver from one of those Amazon Hellhouses and giving them your time and effort is more than worth it.

Small village, but there are small towns (25k to 50k people) and large towns (250k) within about an hour's drive, say. Can't really move, my wife's parents live nearby and they need a fair bit of looking after. I don't rent, I am sure there are a lot of renters near here but I think a lot are upper management types who commute to the city, lot of commuter towns and retirement villages here.

I guess my main impediment is I am starting out so cut off from all of this. I have lived an easy 'middle class' life all my childhood, in work I have been separated from the people actually working and their issues. So now I'm actually starting to think about these things I don't know where to start, I don't know what the issues are or how to help. I am also a dead fish and lack the charisma or energy to start anything myself.

>>8548
Not Surrey guy, no. In non-lockdown times, my work is quite near an amazon hellhouse. Yeah, but those laws are pretty toothless and as you say very easy to get around, if you have people on zero hours and just say there's no work for you sorry mate. The threat of losing jobs is enough to get most people to not do anything.

tbh I don't know if I'd feel right doing anything myself for my place, since I'm slightly apart from the workforce and the market for my labour is slightly different and I'd be starting shit that I'd be risking less in. I'd feel like a bit of a middle class white saviour complex thing going on. That might not be a good take, that's just my immediate though.

What you need to do is get on googling and start searching for socialist groups in these nearby places, obviously depends on what kinda politics you are into, but if you're not sure, just spread fire some emails and see what pops up, if you are, you can make this more targeted obviously. Any group worth shit is gonna be happy to have new people who are keen to get involved. Probably your best bet if you don't want to be starting new stuff.

Perhaps given you are a carer you could consider looking into campaigns around providing care, which you do have experience of.

watching teenage voters interviewed on BBC Scotland is such a weird experience
hot takes: artist: "young people voting is good, let's do independence :)" guy in bedroom: "the attainment gap should be lower!" girl in library: "we should have a more diverse parliament! :)"

meanwhile here i am - here we are - with all our political illnesses, our revenge fantasies, our preferred way of tearing everything to bits and throwing the wreckage around because by god, this country has been on the wrong track for longer than we've been alive, and it's not heading anywhere near it. if we believe in voting at all, it will be on grounds steeped in 60 degrees of strategy or 46 degrees of contrarianism. no "i like the environment so i'm voting green", no "i think people should keep more of their money so i'm voting tory", no "i'm sort of an alright guy really but unfortunately my aversion to conflict has tricked me into voting lib dem", and certainly no "i like the idea of society so i'm voting labour", only "i'm voting conservative to unseat my Labour MP as punishment for the Iraq war, thereby maximizing internal pressure on the Labour party to change its leader", "i'm voting Labour because i want to show my ballot paper on /leftybritpol/ for (you)s which is the single most valuable thing my vote can deliver", "i'm voting liberal democrat because i genuinely believe this will kickstart a series of events culminating in Ed Davey being proclaimed head of the next caliphate."

the kids have it right. we are wrong, all wrong. for all of their sakes i hope to god none of them ever get into politics. oh by all means let them get a job in politics, let them become MSPs and let me with my overactive gallbladder spit all kinds of bile at them, but please god keep them away from history, keep them away from theory. nothing good ever comes of knowing either. i hope they're happy on the 6th of may, because unless there's a biblical flood to wash away the sins of this earth i know i'll be moaning away as usual.

8. "If it has four legs and it is not a chair, if it has two wings and flies but is not an aeroplane, and if it swims and it is not a submarine, the Cantonese will eat it." Again with the Chinese insults, when he addressed a World Wildlife Fund meeting in 1986.
9. "I don't think a prostitute is more moral than a wife, but they are doing the same thing," when dismissing claims those who slaughter for meat have greater moral authority than those who partake in blood sports in 1988.
10. "Oh no, I might catch some ghastly disease," when asked if he wanted to pet a koala in Australia back in 1992.
11. "You can't have been here that long — you haven't got a pot belly," he told a British tourist during a visit to Budapest in 1993.
12. "Aren't most of you descended from pirates?," he enquired to an islander while in the Cayman Islands in 1994.

The legal fiction elements of it are nice. "The Crown" does this, "The Crown" does that, thereby avoiding making any of the annoying decisions that come with being a normal country. Plus when you elect a clown as prime minister he doesn't get to be head of state, only head of government.

(In Canada/Aus/NZ it works better than here, since "The Crown" is represented by some rando civil servant from the country rather than the actual crown. It's basically a republic randomly yoked to another countries monarchy.)

wonder what the idea here is. they're behind in the polls, they really ought to be campaigning as much as they can

unless they want there to be additional pressure on other parties to not campaign in the hopes that it'll hurt them more than it hurts Alba. (for example because those campaigns are disproportionately reliant on actual advertising and have enough members to do doorknocking in preparation for a get-out-the-vote operation, while Alba will probably live and die by word of mouth… and with most telly channels on 24/7 mournovision, listening to some guy explain how Nicola Sturgeon isn't a nationalist at all starts to sound interesting by comparison.)

I think it's the diversity of accents means you get more interesting intonation and syncopation. I mean the reality is that most African Americans have the same or similar dialect, due to it being a result of ethnic segregation, british black people on the other hand either partially keep the patois of their origins, or adopt and fuse with local accidents: thus leading to more verity.
Take the difference between rappers like Stormzy & Kano from London and a Northern Black rapper like for Bugzy Malone.

“Vote SPD, Br'er Voter, vote Zentrum, vote DVNP, and KPD,” said Br'er Bourg. “Only please, Br'er Voter, please don’t throw me to the briar Fash!”

“It’s not going to be much fun voting SPD,” said Br'er Voter, “you’re not scared of that. But you are scared of the briar Fash.”

And with that, Br'er Voter yanked Br'er Bourg off the Tar Liberals, and he flung him -KERPLUNK!- right into the briar Fash.

Well, there was a flutter where Br'er Bourg landed, then “Ooo! Oow! Ouch!” he screeched and he squalled. Then after a while, there was only a weak whisper from Br'er Bourg. Br'er Voter listened.

“I got him! Br'er Bourg is dead!” said Br'er Voter.

But then he heard a scuffling away at the other end of the briar Fash. And low and behold, who does Br'er Voter see scrambling out but Br'er Bourg himself, playing a briar bush whistle stolen from his own workers.

“Born and bred in the briar Fash, that’s me,” laughed Br'er Bourg. “I told you not to throw me there. In all the world, that’s the place I love best!”

With a lippity clip, he hopped away.

<The UVF has ordered the removal of Catholic families from a housing estate in Carrickfergus in what has been termed a "form of 21st century ethnic cleansing".
<The terror gang was behind attacks on three homes in the Woodburn estate in which they believed Catholics have been staying. Sources say the attacks were based purely on rumours about the occupants or people linked to them.
<Windows at properties on Cherry Walk and Glenfield Walk were smashed late last Wednesday night. The home of a pensioner on Pinewood Avenue, who only moved into the bungalow last month, was also targeted. Some of the occupants are understood to have since fled the area.
<The PSNI's Sergeant Cowan said: "Just after 9pm we received a report that the living room window of a property in the Glenfield Walk area had been smashed at 8.20pm.
<"At 9.40pm we received two further reports that windows had been smashed at houses in the Cherry Walk and Pinewood Avenue areas. In both cases a man wearing a balaclava was seen running from both addresses."
<Security sources told Sunday Life that the UVF was behind the attacks having ordered the removal of all Catholics from loyalist estates in Carrickfergus. Sources say they were ordered purely on the basis of rumours about the occupants or people linked to them.
<"It's a form of 21st century ethnic cleansing," said the insider. "The UVF has drawn up a list of people living in Woodburn who they suspect are Catholics, or are living with Catholics."
<The attacks are taking place despite the Executive Office spending millions of pounds of public cash in Carrickfergus on trying to convince loyalist gun gangs to abandon criminality through its Tackling Paramilitary Activity programme. A further £10million was committed to the fund last week.
<The UVF is heavily involved in the project which pledges to "provide support and legitimate alternatives to all ex-prisoners/former combatants to reintegrate into society".
<But the smashing up of homes by the UVF in which it believed Catholics had been staying makes a mockery of its transformation commitment.
<Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson condemned the UVF violence, calling it "raw, naked sectarianism".
<He said: "I know the vast majority of people in Carrickfergus will be horrified at these brutal attacks on innocent families.
<"There is no place for this behaviour - it is dangerous and wrong. Clearly, the attempts to wean these sectarian gangs away from their activities by handing out government financial inducements is now a failed policy.
<"The only reward for this behaviour must be a stiff jail sentence.
<"I welcome the work of the Paramilitary Crime Taskforce in the area and look forward to their continued success in rooting out these thugs.
<"Meanwhile, my sympathy goes to those families affected. I know there will be many decent people working on the ground in these areas from churches and other agencies trying to provide assurance and working to help families, and I pledge my support to them."
<Loyalists rioted on the North Road in Carrickfergus for two nights last week, throwing dozens of petrol bombs at police lines. The violence was in response to what they claimed is frustration over the Irish Sea customs border and a lack of prosecutions connected to the funeral of IRA leader Bobby Storey.
<The attacks on the PSNI were encouraged by both the South East Antrim UDA and UVF who warned teens involved not to riot in loyalist estates, and to instead take the trouble onto the North Road which is on the edge of the Castlemara and Sunnylands areas.

Yeah vaccination is around 50% and basically everyone who is in any danger already has it. And I belive he managed it by not being part of the European health scheme. Which requires you to get central Eu approval for all vaccines. (Slower than just getting it done in UK) and I belive the EU negotiate for one central contract rather than national ones, so they are way less flexible in ordering vaccines. Also we litteraly funded and invented our own vaccine so we kinda got first dibs.

the most radical party it would advantage is the greens tbh.
the problem is that even with a fair electoral system you still need competent socialists, and leftists love to fuck themselves over. even if they do enter parliament they will inevitably split because one gang wants to do nothing but LARP (let's put down a bill to abolish capitalism, tee-hee!) and the other one wants to do nothing but policy wonkery. (ah but you see it's a socialist plan for means testing…), or indeed just because of stupid personality politics.
this tendency is found even in "actually social democratic" parties, let alone ones actually committed to the abolition of capitalism.

ultimately the main advantage is that socialists will find it easier form a grouping across a wider area. (i.e. the SSP could campaign all across Glasgow in 1999, rather than trying to get people to campaign outside their own constituencies)

i'm not saying you're wrong, given you're talking in the context of getting PR, but this is playing on my mind. the conditions that built Labour are gone, that puts the party in a very dangerous place because you could never re-assemble something like it after it was destroyed. yet the present leadership are committed to the course of action that is most likely to destroy the party.

 No.8894

My bet would be that they'll put out a manifesto which will be left of the SNP in broad strokes but thin on actual policy. Given their target audience I suspect it will have more "an independent Scotland will need an independent Currency and an independent foreign policy" and less "Here is our fully costed plan for marginally improving schools in these three deprived areas."
Hopefully it'll be something with more substance which gives a clearer idea of where they are, but today isn't a day for optimism.

The funniest outcome would be if someone in the SNP leaked the SNP's concrete policy plans to Alba, allowing Alba to slip them into their manifesto (occasionally de-Blairing them) and then publish it a day before the SNP's comes out, but I'd put a 0% chance on that happening. The SNP's biggest items so far are things they announced in the last budget then announced again because they know the electorate are stupid enough to fall for it, and if anyone leaks they'd probably leak to Wings Over Scotland who would publish rather than quietly sharing.

 No.8898

It's more that a lot of people see that TERFs don't like the SNP and assume that the SNP must therefore be good, or at least be doing something right*, which is the sort of heuristic I could definitely see myself using if I wasn't really paying attention. The problem is that there wouldn't be half as many TERFs in Scotland if GRA reform had passed in 2017-18 and never been heard about again. By drawing it out (because they're politically cautious Blairites) the SNP has multiplied the number of TERFs in the country by god knows how many because they can keep appealing to all the horrible things that might happen in reform passes. Once reform passes and nothing happens they'll have to go back to reading Irishmen having mental breakdowns over Canadians, which is far less useful for getting Scottish recruits.

*In a very token way they "are", in that they've put forward GRA reform. But every party had it in their manifesto, so instead of giving the SNP cheap "they're pro-trans rights!" credit for having it in their platform they should be getting torn apart for fucking up the delivery so badly.

Instead of just saying "If you'd show a little good faith…" they immediately assume that they're dealing with something made up whole-cloth and react accordingly. They are desperate for Alba to be a party of fascists, rather than a party of the vengeful, the angry, the disappointed and the confused.

Because I remain the lord advocate for chaos, I hope some mid-ranking SNP/Greens apparatchik winds up in court for their tweets during the campaign. Especially if they wind up being punished because of SNP legislation.
(I don't think anyone should be jailed, but a fine and some bad headlines would be very funny.)
I don't believe that there should be real life consequences for tweets, but I also don't believe there are any unacceptable tactics. Just unacceptable targets… My only hesitation would be that it would let middle class wankers posture as though they were genuinely oppressed…

In Medieval times contrary to the commonly spread view that justice has become more civil and less bloodthirsty overtime most evidence in the form of the times equivalent of books of law and personal accounts even doing something like keeping someone under house arrest for more then a few months to a year was considered horrifically cruel and inhumane and execution or exile was only really employed when someone was a straight up schizo off their meds killing people or raping them or whatever.

Then Henry the Vlll implemented mercantilism by enclosing common land and selling it to private land-holders.
Because the now landless and basically enslaved to their new "bosses" peasantry was obviously upset at this and began rebelling Henry drafted a fuckton of new laws that handed out death or transportation willy nilly for "crimes against private property".

Overtime they stopped executing basically everyone and switched to deporting them to Australia. But after 80 years of that the class makeup of Australia had begun to resemble something like.
>5% Free british anglos.
>5% Indigenous peoples living innabush.
>90% Poor Anglos, Irish, Scots, Welsh etc who were basically slaves.
And eventually the Brits began to realise that when your slave population begins to reach >90% of the total population something that rhymes with Haitian Revolution may start to happen so opted to just reform it into "Ok so you get your own parliament and your own PM you can voot for but we get to keep owning all the land and natural resources ok bye!"

Here is a taste anyway:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcasting_House

>Broadcasting House is the headquarters of the BBC, in Portland Place and Langham Place, London. The first radio broadcast from the building was made on 15 March 1932, and the building was officially opened two months later, on 15 May.

>The building showcases works of art, most prominently the statues of Prospero and Ariel (from Shakespeare's The Tempest) by Eric Gill. Their choice was fitting since Prospero was a magician and scholar, and Ariel a spirit of the air, in which radio waves travel.

>His personal diaries reveal that his religious beliefs did not limit his sexual activity, which included several extramarital affairs, incestuous sexual abuse of his two eldest teenage daughters, incestuous relationships with his sisters, and sexual acts on his dog

So, on the front of the BBC, there is a statue of a naked 13 year old boy, carved by a pedo.

Who else do we know that was a pedo associated with the BBC…………………………………. hint there is fucking loads of them and one in particular

Oh fuck

Over ten thousand people marched for the NHS a few years ago and not one media establishment mentioned it, they even went past BBC HQ. A thousand people gave a few cops a kicking a month ago and it was in every paper for days.
I think there's been a doctrine shift and people are yet to catch up to how the police operate nowadays. I used to see constant evidence of police instigating violence at protests to break them up around 2008, but I actually see less as time goes on and the internet gets bigger. Nowadays they seem content to let the protest tire itself out. This deliberate shift imo most likely occurred around the time kettling became popular.
I think the police wouldn't be able to handle violent unrest nowadays, as we saw with the London riots and even a bit with BLM recently. This shift towards kettling and away from instigation ties in with this.

Tony Blair achieved more for evil through action than any good person will ever achieve through inaction.
(Unless someone invents a time machine and then ties Tony Blair to a trolley line, then relies on good people not pulling the lever to redirect it in the interest of altruism)
