Like the title says, I want a safe way to read ebooks without running the risk of getting malware. Help with how to watch videos and use other media types like mp3's, mp4's, pdf's, etc would be appreciated also.

I know there are ways to clean pdf files, but I do not know if there are ways to clean mp4's or mp3's or epubs.

I wasn't aware that these were particularly vulnerable - it seems like if MP3s had major vulnerabilities, it would be exploited way more often.

If you want to inspect or change tag metadata https://docs.mp3tag.de/file-formats/
cross platform iirc. I like smplayer frontend for mplayer.bin . Everything just works.
