After revolution, the socialist government should educate their society and eventually put them to a test:

The government should fabricate a scenario that requires revolutionary action. Perhaps they should stage a genocide. The communists, who should have never stopped organizing, would take up arms and march against the perceived threat, as well as dismantling the state apparatus.

The liberals will be liberals and expose themselves. Then once it's revealed that everything was staged, the revolutionary group becomes the new government (since government's should change periodically) and the liberals will be thrown into a pit.
