In light of the terrorist actions carried out by rioters and elements affiliated with the intelligence services of the Zionist regime and the US in some parts of the country, the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has issued a statement.
The full statement is as follows:
Great nation of Iran;
During the 12-day war up to today, the Zionist regime has continued its oppression of Iranians through hybrid warfare. While it may change its tactics from time to time, it has not abandoned its belligerence toward the resilient Iranian nation.
Although the recent incidents began as protests against market instability, they were drawn into scenes of insecurity in the country through the guidance and design of the Zionist enemy.
Trump’s statements in recent days also indicate a joint design between these 2 regimes to undermine the security of the Iranian people’s lives. The great Iranian nation, through its national solidarity, forced the enemy to accept a strategic defeat during the 12-day war, and today as well, through unity and cohesion, it will render their sabotage tactics ineffective.
No honorable person would allow national symbols such as the flag to be insulted… let alone set on fire.
No dignified Iranian would allow the statue of the symbol of national resistance, Haj Qassem Soleimani, to be insulted, let alone burned.
No free Iranian would allow a symbol of national identity such as the House of God [mosques/holy sites] to be desecrated, or worse, set on fire. Insecurity for a nation is intolerable from any government or country.
It is clear that those who protested economic conditions would not act in ways that worsen economic damage or add insecurity on top of existing economic problems.
The presence of security and police forces is aimed at preventing insecurity in the country.
These forces, standing alongside the proud and steadfast nation, will neutralize the destabilization plot of the Zionist regime and its patron, the US, and will provide a secure environment for the people’s lives.
On this path, the security forces and the judiciary will show no leniency toward saboteurs.
