Updates and current status since the start of the last thread:
(largely civilian) Palestinian death toll has now passed 72,700. Excess deaths have been estimated by The Lancet to plausibly be upwards of 186,000.

Italian workers' unions launched a massive general strike in October over the shipping of weapons through Italian ports which are being used in Israel's genocide, and launched another strike in November.

In early January 2025, Israel agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza and a prisoner exchange. Israel unilaterally broke the ceasefire. In October 2025, another ceasefire and prisoner exchange was agreed upon in Gaza, and Israel has proceeded to kill over 900 Palestinians in Gaza since agreeing. Israel has also refused to allow the agreed-upon amount of aid into Gaza.

Israel attacked Iran utilizing a large number of assets embedded in Iran, killing multiple scientists and high ranking Iranian military officials, as well as targeting schools, hospitals, oil assets, and a TV station. Around one thousand Iranians were killed in Israel's strikes on civilian targets like residential buildings. Iran retaliated with a series of waves of missile and drone attacks which hit multiple Israeli military targets including IDF HQ, Mossad HQ, as well as an Israeli oil field. After an Iranian strike on Unit 8200, the number of online Zionist apologists conspicuously reduced for a while. The Israeli government, embarrassed by the damage to Tel Aviv, heavily censored footage and reporting of Iranian strikes on Israel, resulting in the Israeli police arresting journalists and citizens for filming sites of impact, while rich Israelis fled by boat due to the closure of Ben-Gurion airport. Iran began a crackdown on Israeli terror cells, finding and closing multiple Mossad-linked covert drone factories, as well as reportedly arresting groups involved in sabotage, and multiple individuals reportedly linked to German & Indian spy agencies.

Renewed US/Israeli attacks on Iran led to the destruction of multiple US bases in west Asia and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

The US mercenary front called the GHF has reportedly disbanded.

Israel has continued to violate the ceasefire with Lebanon more than 1000 times, and has refused to leave the country entirely after multiple delays. Israel again returned to bombing Beirut in November. This series of violations prompted retaliation from Hezbollah, whose fiber optic drones have been virtually impossible for the occupation forces to counter.

Syrian president Bashar al-Assad was overthrown by US-backed al-Qaeda operatives. Israel has since attacked and continued to occupy Syria with no retaliation, as well as abducting and displacing Syrian citizens while the Syrian government targets only Syrians and Lebanon, and defends US bases in Syria.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netnayahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity. The ICC also issued warrants against Hamas leaders. Additionally, it was revealed that in April the ICC filed a warrant for the arrest of Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

Following the warrants, the Biden invited Yoav Gallant to the White House, and the Trump administration invited Netanyahu to the White House multiple times. Bezalel Smotrich then appeared at a pro-genocide march in NYC on May 31, 2026.

Israel has launched more attacks on the West Bank.

More countries have joined South Africa's legal case at the International Court of Justice against Israel for the crime of genocide. Cuba, Ireland, Belize, Palestine, Turkey, Spain, Mexico, Libya, Chile, and Colombia have joined the South African case against Israel. Egypt, Belgium, and Maldives have also declared their intention to join. Nicaragua has withdrawn from the case.

Following the October agreement in Gaza, Yemeni Ansar Allah attacks in solidarity with Gaza have temporarily ceased.

Demonstrators have continued to blockade and damage arms factories manufacturing weapons for Israel in the UK. Palestine Action broke into a UK military base, damaging two planes of a type which the UK government has used to aid in Israel's genocide of Palestine. Following this, the UK government under Starmer proscribed Palestine Action as a terrorist group, despite direct action being a legal form of protest in the UK. Hundreds of arrests have followed, and continued for months over people holding placards.

The US gov't continued shipping weapons to Israel, in violation of US law.

The new US administration has started unlawfully abducting students for protest and opposition to genocide. The administration has threatened to deport these students, and has gone after university funding in an effort to suppress anti-genocide speech on campuses and control the narrative. Mahmoud Khalil was later released.

Israel attacked the Global Sumud Flotilla boats, abducting their crews in Palestinian waters and subjecting many to torture. This repeated in May of 2026, when activists were abducted by the IOF from boats in international waters near Greece, and then again near Cyprus. The Greek and Cypriot governments have offered no resistance, nor have most nations whose citizens are now being freely bombed, abducted, and tortured by the IOF from boats in international waters while sailing to land which the Israelis have no rights over. The EU responded by sanctioning Hamas.

In June 2025, the Global March to Gaza, a peaceful humanitarian mission to get aid into Gaza through the Egyptian Rafah crossing, was blocked by the US-backed El-Sisi government. Hundreds of marchers were arrested and harrassed at the crossing by the Egyptian military. El-Sisi's collaborationist government has, since, abducted activists for expressing sympathy with Palestine.

Israel's former top military lawyer, major general Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi was arrested by Israel after leaking a video of the IDF gang raping Palestinian detainees, which was seen by the Israeli state as bad PR. Western MSM later admitted even further IDF use of rape as torture.

The US congress has advanced an American-Israeli military integration plan with a provision in the 2027 draft US defence bill.

And much, much more!

US Congress advances American-Israeli military integration plan
A provision in the 2027 draft US defence bill could bind the two countries’ weapons industries closer than ever.

A provision in a bill before the United States Congress could tie the American and Israeli militaries far more closely together, deepening their cooperation on weapons research, production and technology.

The proposal, titled the “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative,” appears as Section 224 of the House Armed Services Committee’s version of the fiscal year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the annual US defence policy bill.

The measure is still at an early stage. The NDAA is passed by Congress each year to set US military policy and authorise defence programmes and spending levels.

If enacted, the provision could mark a major change in one of the world’s closest military relationships, shifting the two countries from a partnership centred largely on American military aid towards one in which their defence industries are more deeply intertwined.

Section 224 would require the US defence secretary to appoint an “executive agent”: a single official to coordinate military cooperation between the US and Israel.

That work would cover joint research and development, the shared production of weapons, and the linking of military systems and data.

“What Congress is trying to do now is find different ways of entrenching the relationship so deep in America’s own defence industrial base that it’s impossible to root it out,” Josh Paul, a former US State Department official and founder of the advocacy group A New Policy, said about the controversial provision.

“A new section of law in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would give Israel unprecedented access to American technology and would force the United States military to integrate Israeli defence technologies into our own critical military supply chain, giving Israel incredible leverage over America’s own defence priorities,” he added in a video posted on social media on Friday.

The bill would extend their joint work into many more areas of modern warfare, from artificial intelligence (AI) to drones and cyber operations.

The provision comes amid turmoil in the Middle East following the joint US-Israeli attack on Iran earlier this year.

In February, US and Israeli forces attacked Iran together, triggering five weeks of war; Iran struck back at Israel and at US bases in the Gulf before a ceasefire took hold in April.

Israel is also facing genocide allegations (https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/10/22/icj-says-israel-must-allow-aid-into-blockaded-gaza-provide-basic-needs) in a case brought by South Africa at the International Court of Justice, the UN’s top court, over its war on Gaza.

Decades of support
The bill must first clear the House Armed Services Committee, which is due to take it up in early June, and then pass the full House and the Senate.

It was proposed by the committee’s Republican chairman, Mike Rogers, and its most senior Democrat, Adam Smith, giving it support from both main parties, even as opinion polls suggest growing opposition among American Democrats and some Republicans to further military support for Israel.

The US has supported Israel’s military for decades.

Since 2008, US law has required Washington to protect Israel’s “qualitative military edge”, keeping its forces stronger and more advanced than those of any rival in the region, on the grounds that a small country must rely on better weapons rather than greater numbers.

Under the current aid deal signed during the administration of former President Barack Obama, Washington provides Israel with about $3.8bn a year in military assistance. The 10-year agreement runs through 2028.

Israel is the largest recipient of US foreign aid since 1948, almost all of it now military and worth well over $300bn when adjusted for inflation.

The nature of that support may now be changing. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said recently that he wants to end Israel’s reliance on US military aid within 10 years, saying his country had “come of age”.

Closer cooperation between the two defence industries, rather than cash, would likely fit that goal.
