Can be dark, ominous, mournful, apocalyptic… modern, romantic, whatever.

Opening with one of the greatest, Scriabin's incomplete Mysterium. The writing of this one started in 1903, and Scriabin died before it could be completed, with it later being pieced together by Alexander Nemtin over the course of 28 years. This was only intended to be the first part in a much longer piece which would last a week and be followed by armageddon.

Anyone fond of it? I've been listening to a wee little bit of it today.

The Celtic harp goes back a long ways, with it featuring in pre-Christian Irish myth as one of the magical items used by The Dagda. It's a symbol of Ireland to this day, but I hadn't heard it played very much for a while. It's pretty nice!

Cool when they're not on the end of your fishing line. We had a house in LA in '76 that backed up to the swamp, it rose during a flood and baby gators were on the back patio. Cool when we were kids but to the adults not so much.
