'Strategic entrapment': Dennis Kucinich on disastrous US-Israeli military merger
Former US Rep. Dennis Kucinich joins The Grayzone's Max Blumenthal to discuss Section 219, a measure insidiously inserted into the NDAA bill which will effectively merge the US and Israeli militaries across areas including AI, cyberwarfare, biotech, missile defense, and defense industrial production.

Kucinch explains why the bill will shatter what's left of American sovereignty and congressional oversight, contaminating the US military with Israeli spy technology, encouraging new levels of domestic repression while essentially forbidding any disentanglement from the strategically calamitous special relationship with Israel.

New $500M Artillery Shell Plant Failed To Produce Any 155mm Parts

<A scathing new Pentagon Inspector General report found problems at the plant delayed the Army's 100,000 round-per-month goal.

>The inability of a munitions plant in Mesquite, Texas, to build a key part set back the U.S. Army’s plans for ramping up production of 155mm shells to 100,000 rounds per month, according to a scathing new report by the War Department’s Office of Inspector General (DOWIG). Despite receiving close to $500 million from the U.S. Army funded through supplemental spending bills from Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023, General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), failed to make a single subcomponent needed to produce the badly needed shells as of last March.

>“Without the 30,000 additional projectile metal parts anticipated from the Mesquite facility, the Army will be unable to reach its monthly capability goal of 100,000 155-mm artillery rounds,” the report concluded. “As of March 2026, the CPE A&E [Capability Program Executive Ammunition & Energetics] officials have not developed a plan to produce the additional rounds that are supposed to be produced at the Mesquite facility.”

<UPDATE: 1:20 PM EDT July 15 –

>GDOTS responded to our request for comment.

>“GDOTS and our U.S. Army customer have reached an agreement on a path forward for the Mesquite facility, which includes additional GDOTS investment to complete the project. We appreciate the collaborative efforts of the U.S. Army in working toward a positive resolution that enables this facility to deliver essential munitions to the U.S. military. For additional information, we refer inquiries to the U.S. Army.”

Are you in jail yet?
If not: get guns, get bullets. Lots. Store some away where they won't be found.

Do you have any skills? Can you build custom computers, can you program, can you weld, can you do chemistry, can you do home repairs or maintenance or construction? Any of these fields is extremely useful, and you need to set aside some time and money to put them to work for revolutionary purposes.

If you have any unnecessary expenses (subscription services, entertainment, snacks & confections, alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, etc.) then ditch those right away.

Everything that's going on right now was completely predictable 3 years ago when student protesters were mass-arrested, FISA was expanded, a federal court ruled that Biden might be guilty of genocide complicity but that it was outside of a federal court's jurisdiction, the Supreme Court ruled that the president of the United States was basically infallible for anything, even domestically, and the National Guard was deployed to the NYC subway system. And, of course, all of this happened while Trump was being backed by Project 2025 and Project Esther, and was clearly preferred to win by the powers-that-pay-off-both-candidates-in-every-race. Had the American movement taken the writing on the wall with the necessary urgency and responded with the necessary militancy and unity, things would be better today than they are. The same principle applies now.

>Antifa: A decentralized group of self-described “Anti-fascist” political activists
This one has always been completely meaningless political posturing on Trump's part. "Antifa" isn't an organization, it's just a word, like "terrorist", that can be applied to anyone engaged in a certain kind of activism. Reminder Obama set the stage for this manner of deprivation of basic civil liberties when he signed the 2012 NDAA that included the provision that anyone can be called a belligerent by the US government and detained indefinitely without trial.

>This one has always been completely meaningless political posturing on Trump's part. "Antifa" isn't an organization, it's just a word, like "terrorist",
These two thoughts are self-contradictory. It makes zero sense to call something "meaningless political posturing" in one sentence and then immediately compare it to the policy of the "war on terror" in the next. The vagueness of the terms themselves is the meaning and the point, and that's why people are right to be worried about it.

>Reminder Obama set the stage for this manner of deprivation of basic civil liberties

It was Bush actually. It would be wrong to say Obama stopped it or didn't actively continue it, but the biggest ramping up occurred under Bush in the '00s. This is a historical fact, but it neither excuses the crime itself nor provides a reasonable excuse for anyone to lay down and take it, nor to take further crimes. The American left has a serious meekness problem.

They've been doing this. You can go back to the mass arrests of student protesters in 2024, but there's already (unsurprisingly) a precedent for the Trump admin escalating political repression, particularly against opponents of zionism, see:
>>488052
^which actually contains multiple instances of ICE (an offshoot of the Bush-era invention the DHS) abducting legal residents off the street for anti-genocide activities. That thread doesn't even have all of them, btw, there've been enough of these that keeping up with it in addition to everything else has been difficult - the Ya'akub Vijandre case hasn't been posted about there yet:
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/dec/12/photojournalist-detained-ice-social-media
And any case that is discussed is publicized, which means not all of the existing cases are being discussed.

We've also seen Max Blumenthal detained temporarily, and his electronics seized, a member of ACP briefly detained when coming back into the US, and I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting a lot of instances because it really seems like I've been hearing about this kind of thing a lot since 2024. I think that people in the U.S. need to understand that they do this stuff and that further escalation is not unlikely, because the response during Bush, and every response since, was inadequate.

how long have we been saying this now?
>>

 No.497976

>>497964
Missed you saying this - no, I frankly beg to differ.
Forget "hoarding ammo," there is a high probability that anyone on the left in the U.S. who I make this recommendation to has no ammo whatsoever. The U.S. left lacks guns and does not know how to shoot to this day, and that is a baseline which is easy and cheap to fix for now, but which could become way harder at any time. There isn't a choice between "hoarding ammo" and "organizing mass action," there is a dire situation where the American left will not be prepared for even tiny strategic amounts of revolutionary action or even the most basic self-defense in the amount of time necessary to do any good whatsoever. Hoarding ammo and organizing mass action (of the kind which will adequately address the problem at a large scale) are ambitions, and both are completely valid ambitions, but anyone who thinks either of these is attainable within a reasonable amount of time is living in a fantasy world; these aren't the options in front of us any more than hoarding a nuclear stockpile is.

With this in mind, my step one is to arm, because I know that many people are not doing this. In fact, in the United States, it's very common for "socialists" to spend what little money they accrue on hedonism - treats, drinks, drugs, luxuries, games, movies, art, fancy stuff. Anyone who is really concerned about the state of things in this country will get nothing out of all that, but will be more equipped to deal with the worsening situation if they are armed. An organization made up of armed people is automatically more powerful than an organization of disarmed people, regardless of whether those people armed first and then joined the organization - and so, I recommend that those who have not yet joined an organization, and who may not live where an organization already flourishes, to arm. I recommend that they also start or join an organization, and express solidarity towards those other workers who oppose the state of things, but they must arm. There's no excuse not to, and the better armed they are, the better, and the more practice they get shooting, the better, so their aim will be improved.
>>

 No.497982

Hoarding ammo isn't a good idea in humid climates, even with dehumidifiers and dessicants. I sold everything except for a handgun and varmint rifle since I don't hunt anymore. I miss my compound bow with peep sights and silencers more than any long gun, though. Fishing is more practical with a better return on investment. If youse want to belong to orgs or clubs to make yourself a target it's up to you. But the reason the far right has higher numbers than the left isn't so much organization but sloth aided by algorithms. They binge watch bodycam/ dashcam footage and get linked to maga pig slop. The same happens with food and music 'reaction' channels. The European tourist "reaction" channels give the far right the impression of solidarity by feeding the reactionary impulse and ideation of American exceptionalism and supremacy.
>>

 No.497983

>>497982
>But the reason the far right has higher numbers than the left isn't so much organization but sloth aided by algorithms.
It's true that algorithms push (and I say push, because it actually isn't just down to them getting recommended stuff they already like, the algorithms of western "tech" companies actively push "right wing" shit, I know because I don't watch any of it but still get "recommended" a bunch of it by the algorithms) fascist stuff, but I disagree about the first half of this sentence. I think it's unproven that the far right actually has higher numbers than the left; what the far right do have is institutional backing, more money, greater militancy, and largely unchecked violence. All of this, but especially the institutional backing and larger amount of money, gives an impression of a group which is much larger and more prevalent than it is; this itself is a tactic, and you can see it on the small scale with the historic "Swarmfront" strategy, or on a larger scale with the JIDF, the Maccabee Task Force, and US intelligence influence operations.

The American left would gain a lot from organization, whether public or not, and I think that clandestine organization would still be necessary even for American leftists who are nervous about joining orgs publicly. So while my first recommendation is "arm," I think that writing off organization as a means to increase the collective power of working people, is a bad idea.

All fair points, but perhaps existing orgs need to be retooled and new orgs are needed. The so-called right is fueled by 'casual' reactionaries for the aforementioned reasons in that it gives them a sense of community and solidarity which overshadows their own material conditions, hence voting against what would otherwise benefit them personally. If the left could effectively clarify reality it might make some converts and turn the tide.

To illustrate my point, this couple has been in the same parking lot at 71st and Memorial for months and every day passersby only saw a large sign saying "fuck trump". Since the heat dome over the city, which otherwise diverts tornadoes, became smog with the UV/heat index around 110°F, the disabled duo decided to waste space in their own town where they finally got arrested. Nobody is happier about this than Democrats who viewed their actions as counterproductive, yet the comments to this bodycam footage are primarily from the collective reactionary right who view this couple as representative of what they view as "the left", which is anyone who isn't a registered Republican, with no room for distinction or nuance.

Anthony Fauci apparently pleaded the Fifth 111 times in today's US Senate hearing.

"Fauci, the face of the country’s pandemic response and director of National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases for 38 years, invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination 111 times during his testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

In his opening statement, Fauci said committee Chair Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) “obvious obsession” with his “prosecution” compelled him to plead the fifth.

“The only conclusion I can reach is that the sole reason he is calling me before this committee is to get me to say something, anything that could vindicate his repeated public pledges that I end up in his words ‘behind bars,’” Fauci remarked.

Throughout the three-hour hearing, Fauci declined to answer every question GOP senators lobbed at him. Republicans on the panel spent the morning lambasting the infectious disease specialist for his handling of the pandemic, while Democrats defended him against GOP attacks."

I've been meeting ex US military guys for years now and almost all of them have bad stuff to say about it. Vietnam, Panama, Iraq, US Navy - it's incredibly normal to privately hear stories from them which revolve around confusion over why they were ordered to do certain things (crimes), confusion over who, exactly, it served, and regret at having been a pawn in this bullshit. Defectors would be entirely welcome, and I hope that those who really believed in fighting for people and country will choose to defect instead of serving against their own people in the Epstein Regime. Those who realize the truth before they have been injured and discharged can be great heroes.
