i agree that the brain development theory is misused but regardless its well understood that the brain development of youth is in many ways different from the brain development of adults
and of course that alone doesnt say much about how we should actually treat youth specifically apart from, say, restricting the sale and use of certain drugs (including in my opinion amphetamine, benzos, things commonly accepted as part of psychiatric treatment)
like i agree with a lot of what your saying which is so puzzling to me, why is what im saying so upsetting to you unless youre just misunderstanding me
do you really think that teenagers and adults are the exact same in every way? obviously not.

its really not that complicated
i view people living in poverty in a similar way, certain things that are important parts of the human experience are financially inaccessible to them
im not trying to dehumanize anyone, its the exact opposite, people are being dehumanized by circumstances outside of their control and i want to put an end to that by changes those circumstances wherever possible
i happen to think romance is part of that too, which was the point of my first post
